What's the difference between the toothbrush, ultrasonic scaler, and the full set?
Ultrasonic Toothbrush: Designed for regular at-home brushing to help remove plaque and support daily oral hygiene.
Ultrasonic Scaler: A specialized tool intended for use on tooth surfaces. Improper scaling may damage teeth or gums, so we recommend veterinary guidance before use.
Full Oral Care Set: Combines both tools for a more comprehensive oral care toolkit.
Regular brushing and routine veterinary dental checkups should remain the foundation of your pet's dental care.
Is it safe to use at home?
The toothbrush is designed for at-home oral care when used according to the instructions and with gentle handling.
Start slowly, use light pressure, and avoid forcing the device into your pet's mouth. Stop if your pet shows signs of pain, bleeding, or significant distress.
The ultrasonic scaler requires extra caution. Improper use may injure the gums or tooth surfaces, and scaling visible teeth does not address dental disease beneath the gumline.
At-home oral care complements, but does not replace, professional veterinary dental care.
How do I turn on the ultrasonic scaler?
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.
The scaler may operate with little noticeable sound or vibration, which does not necessarily mean it is turned off.
Your device may arrive with some charge from the factory, but we recommend charging it before your first use.
Please refer to the included product instructions and consult your veterinarian before attempting dental scaling on your pet.
How often should I use it?
Daily brushing is ideal! Consistency is key to maintaining your pet's oral hygiene.
If daily brushing isn't realistic yet, try starting with 3–5 times a week and gradually building a routine your pet feels comfortable with.
The ultrasonic scaler is not intended for daily use and should not be treated as a substitute for regular brushing or professional veterinary dental cleaning.
What if my pet is anxious or doesn't like brushing?
That's completely normal! Many pets need time to get comfortable with a new dental care routine.
Start by letting your pet sniff and explore the toothbrush while it's turned off. Gently introduce touching the lips and teeth, and reward calm behavior with praise or a favorite pet-safe treat.
You can use a small amount of dog-safe peanut butter as a reward, as long as it is free of xylitol.
Keep sessions short, positive, and pressure-free. Never force brushing or scaling if your pet is frightened or resisting.
Does my pet need anesthesia?
Routine at-home toothbrushing does not require anesthesia.
However, at-home brushing and visible tooth-surface cleaning are not substitutes for a professional veterinary dental procedure.
If your pet has significant tartar buildup, gum disease, or other dental concerns, your veterinarian may recommend a comprehensive dental cleaning under anesthesia.
Professional cleanings allow veterinarians to examine and clean areas beneath the gumline that cannot be safely addressed through routine home care.
